ABcD is a dance competition show on the US television channel ABC. Every week, two celebrities and one civilian battle it out in a ballroom dancing competition. The show was hosted by Cheryl Burke and Robin Roberts until the end of season 8 when they were replaced by Jenna Dewan Tatum and Tony Dovolani respectively. The dancers are then given a short amount of time to choreograph a dancing routine to that song. At this point judges are brought in to rate each group on its ability, technique, presentation and overall dance ability for total score. At this point it is also possible for the celebrities to make changes or additions to their routines should they wish or should they find something lacking in their performance. A team whose score is not high enough, will be eliminated from the competition. A team whose score is high enough, will advance to the next round. The contestants that advance to the next round then perform with their own dancers as opposed to those that were on their teams as they prepare for the final showdown. The show has several categories in which different dance styles can be judged, such as Argentine Tango, Argentine Tango Rumba, Charleston, Latin Jazz Paso Doble and Samba.
